Baleno RS was first introduced in the Geneva Motor show back in 2015. The Standard Baleno was launched at the time when Indian buyers were taking their interest toward the premium hatchback class. Maruti has sold more than 1,40,000 units of Baleno all over India. In India the car will battle against Volkswagen polo GT TSI and Fiat Abarth Punto. The car is available only in the Top Alpha Trim. Baleno Rs is powered by a 1.0 liter booster jet turbo charger petrol which was introduced in 2015 at global spec. The original engine produces 110 bhp and 175 Nm of torque but for Indian Standard it is tuned to give an output of 101 bhp and 150 Nm torque. Another big mechanical update is the addition of the rear disc brakes for better handling.

Baleno RS is the First ever Maruti product to receive the new 1.0 Booster Jet Petrol engine. It is a three cylinder, turbo charged motor which has been specially tuned for India. The Beast is capable of giving an output of 101 Bhp at 5500 rpm and Torque of 150 Nm at 1700 – 4500 rpm. It is the most powerful hatchback ever introduced by Maruti in India.
